November Rain

Okay, so it’s not really raining, but for some reason I feel like it should be. November isn’t starting off well for me. One of my fish died this morning, one of my first ones of this go around, so that was definitely a bad thing. The kid was super hyper this morning and a big pain in the backside before leaving for school. Is this a foreboding sign of how this month is going to play out? I sure hope not because my anniversary is on the 7th and my birthday is the 24th. I so don’t need a bad month this month of all months.

So, the question I just know is buzzing in everyone’s head this morning, did I get the updates for the Hunters for Hire series done yesterday? Not really, but I mostly just have to finish typing the stuff up–and Trick or Treating last night ate up precious updating time. I will have it done by tomorrow sometime, and then I begin putting it all together and we’ll move into the proofing phase. I plan to throw a party when this is turned in to the editors. A big party. And then zombify on the couch for several days–at least a week–to recover from it. WarCraft is whispering my name saying that it misses me, and I miss it.

And I have Ronda Thompson’s last book, Confessions of a Werewolf Supermodel, and Sherrilyn Kenyon’s newest, Upon the Midnight Clear, and a whole stack of Wicca books waiting on me to read them. Not to mention all my comfort reads…my stack of Diana Palmer books that I’ve been sneaking a quick reread in on here and there. I can’t help it; I know they are all rather simple story lines and similar to one another, but I love them. Maybe it’s the simplicity of the stories that make me love them so. I really don’t know since I’ve never stopped to analyze why I read what I do. I also like the fact that they don’t take me all day from the time I get up to the time I go to bed to read or multiple days to read like some of the bigger books do. I’m a slow reader, what can I say?

Oh well, I suppose I should get on with it so I can free up the time to read some of those books before diving back into writing. I do so miss writing, and my editor is eagerly awaiting whatever I decide to complete next. :) So with that, what are today’s goals?

1) Get as much done on this update as possible. It’d be nice to finish it today, but I won’t hold my breath on that.

Okay, just one goal for today, but it’s a big one and should count as several. *grin* The other goals, I haven’t even mentioned lately–you know, like keep breathing, be me, blog every day, read other blogs, etc. I do a lot of different things each day. I’m a procrastinator by nature, so getting anything done is quite the accomplishment. And with that, I’m off to work on that update.
