It’s official. The Hunters for Hire series for Ellora’s Cave & Cerridwen Press has launched with the first title, Savage, by LA Day. I’m so excited. We’ve worked so hard on this for these past eleven months, and the release just makes it that much more real.
Savage By L.A. Day
This book is part of the Hunters for Hire series. It is a stand-alone book.
Savage, a bounty hunter and half-Rabian shifter, needs a woman. He needs his wife, Alaya.
He’d left her alone on their wedding night three years ago after she’d screamed in fear when he’d become highly aroused and started to shapeshift. Now it is time to face his demons — to consummate his marriage or end it.
Fate steps in, sending them headlong into danger. Seeing her again ignites his desire, and jealousy arouses his dominant nature. Using her passions against her, he persuades her to submit to him for all to hear. But even if Alaya can adapt to his feral lust, unseen danger lurks, waiting to rip them apart again.
Okay, so that’s the exciting news. The bad news is, the update isn’t yet ready to be sent out. The formatting is taking a bit longer than anticipated since it’s such a large file. We hope to have that ready to send out by the weekend sometime at the latest. It was the project that just kept growing and growing and growing.
Today’s goals? Nothing. It’s my anniversary and I’m ill. Yeah, I know; I have horrid luck. I’ve played The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess some this morning just to get away from the computer. My new laptop battery came in yesterday (they said it would take at least two days, so that was a nice surprise), so I’m mobile again. WOOHOO. I also got my first round of edits in yesterday for Dagger’s Blade. A lesser person would have cried upon seeing them, but I’m a big girl, and I had already decided that some of the things that were requested be “tweaked” needed it. So, it’s all good. I just don’t know how long they’ll take me, but it’ll be nice to work on them since they are such a big change from the Hunters for Hire updates.
I plan to jump back into writing with both feet in the next week or so. Haven’t fully decided what I’ll work on first, but I am looking forward to creating a book and characters and a full story rather than planets and key characters for a change. I just never dreamed the series would end up being so much work. I’m not complaining…just learning the hard way, I guess.
