About me spots suck because I never know what to write in one. I guess I’ll just start with the basics.
My name is Heather Holland and I’m am erotic romance author. I write primarily in the scifi and paranormal genres, but I do occasionally dabble in contemporary, fantasy, and romantic suspense. I’m currently published with Ellora’s Cave, though I will admit to having my eye on a few other places as well. I’ve been telling stories and writing for the majority of my life, though I’ve only been writing with publication in mind since mid-2002. I made my first sale with my second book in March of 2003, so it was a short trip from deciding writing was the career path for me and making it happen.
I’m southern, born and bred and married to the most wonderful man in the world (at least in my eyes). We have four fantastic kids–and three noisy ankle biter dogs. Life is pretty hectic, but I kind of like it that way. It at least gives the impression that I’m always busy. I also suffer from severe fibromyalgia, asthma, and chronic migraines among several other things, which makes the normal day to day life quite the struggle. I deal with chronic pain, sometimes so severe I can barely move, and brain fogs that severely impair my ability to think due to my illnesses. Having so many health issues has tremendously slowed down my writing, but it has yet to stop me completely.
I’m also a rambling, super nosey, music loving, video game addicted, mutli-genre reading crocheter, which is why there’s a “Crafty Things” page here on the site. I’m not that great at writing out patterns, but when I do manage to get one jotted down, I don’t mind sharing in the least. I will sometimes discuss the books I enjoyed reading, though I rarely ever talk about the ones I don’t. I’ll also share movies and music I enjoy at times. Mostly, I ramble on about whatever catches my interest at the time or whatever is bugging me.
And I suppose I should confess now. I’m also quite opinionated. I do try to be fair and keep my cool, even if that is sometimes made rather difficult by outside influence(s). If there’s something not found here on the website that you’d like to see, feel free to drop me a line (hunters @ heather-holland.com minus the spaces) and give your suggestions. I’m always open to input.

HUNTERS FOR HIRE SCIFI CONTINUITY SERIES
I am also the coordinating author for the Ellora’s Cave scifi continuity, Hunters for Hire. The quick rundown: Hunters for Hire takes place in the year 2408 and revolves around the organization, Bounty Hunters, Inc. This group of men and women is headed up by Ulric Vonner, BHI founder and president. They track down the worst of the worst criminals in the galaxy and always get their man or alien–so long as the price is right. You can also check out the Hunters for Hire Info page here on the site, where you’ll also find a link to all the available books in the series. I will also warn you now that this series has taken up a great deal of my time over the last few years, so I tend to ramble on and on about it quite frequently. At times, it seems this series is all consuming, though I am not complaining. Any advice I give on writing for the series is just that—advice, and I, in no way, speak for the publisher, Ellora’s Cave. I am not an employee for Ellora’s Cave or Cerridwen Press. I’m just an author with an overactive imagination, meaning my only connection to the publisher is as a writer.
