The Drigon’s Fall – The last thing Captain Dawson Lang ever wanted on his ship, the Drigon was a woman, and now he’s stuck with a female medical officer on a mission to a dead planet. She beguiles him and distracts him to the point of madness. Out of sheer frustration, he creates a holo-program in her image so he can carry out his fantasies, even if only in virtual reality.
Meredith is fighting a strong attraction to the handsome captain, though having to report to him on a regular basis isn’t helping her resolve any. When disaster strikes and the mighty ship falls, she finds her budding romance with the captain growing as danger lurks just out of sight.
On the planet’s icy surface, a predator unlike any they’ve ever known stalks them, picking off the crew one by one while they await rescue. They can only pray that help arrives in time!

Meredith slowly opened her eyes. Images of Dawson still danced in her head. She’d just had the most gloriously sensual dream of her life about him and the last thing she wanted to do was to get up and go to work.
She stretched out on her bed raising her arms and yawned, her body aching in a “good way”.
“Lights,” she commanded, rolling to her side.
Her holo-shades lay on the bedside table. That wasn’t right. She always kept them in the drawer out of sight. How did they get…
Memories suddenly flooded her mind. “Oh, my God.” She pressed the back of her hand to her lips. “It wasn’t a dream.”
She vaulted from the bed, clasping the sheet to her breast and darted into the bathroom. First a hot shower then she’d go to work and pretend nothing had happened. She’d write it off as a bad dream—a really bad dream.
She quickly washed herself off. Once she was dry and dressed, she headed out into the dimly lit corridor. Attention focused on the handheld computer clutched in her palm, she was unaware of her surroundings. She should have sensed his nearness, his presence, but she didn’t.
A solid wall of masculine heat materialized before her, seemingly out of nowhere. She fell back, and a pair of large hands grasped her arms, pulling her back to her feet. Her gaze slowly traveled up to his face, a face carved of stone for all the emotion it showed.
“Why so nervous, Meredith?”
Was it just her imagination or had his voice sounded husky? Seductive? “I’m not nervous.”
He reached out and tucked a stray lock of her hair behind her ear. She flinched, and he chuckled. “You look nervous to me. Am I the cause of that?”
“Well, someone sure is full of himself. Whatever makes you think you would have such an effect on me?”
He shrugged his massive shoulders. “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe the way you’re trembling, or it could be the catch in your voice.”
“I am not… There is not…” she began, then snapped her mouth closed. He’d baited her and, like a fool, she’d fallen for it. “Is there something I can help you with, Captain?”
He leaned close. “Yes, I do believe there is, Doctor. You see, I have some swelling that I need you to take a look at.”
He took her hand in his and pulled it to his crotch. “Anything you can do for it?”
Meredith felt her face grow hot and jerked her hand away. A gasp escaped from her open mouth. “How dare you!”
Dawson touched a finger to her lips. “How dare I what? Ache for a repeat of earlier?” he breathed at her ear. “But I do ache, Meredith, more than you could possibly know, and only you can make that hurt go away. You’re dreaming if you think I’m going to politely pretend nothing happened.”
She shook her head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Captain.”
“Don’t you, Meredith? You begged me to fuck you all night. To take you over and over. Is what we did so easily forgotten?”
Meredith stepped back. He was scaring her. “This is not the place for this discussion, sir. Anyone could walk up on us. But…it was a mistake and I bear my share of responsibility. It was an avoidable situation that we allowed to get out of hand.
“Now, if you would please excuse me, I have work to do in the lab.”
She started to brush past him when his hand shot out and captured her arm.
“It’s not that easy to forget, Meredith, and it’s far from over,” he growled.
“Dr. Carson to the med lab, please. Dr. Carson to the med lab.” The words repeated over the intercom system several times.
“I really have to go, Captain.”
He released his grip, and she hurried down the hall. The more distance she put between them at the moment, the better. She was embarrassed and not supposed to be interested in him in any way other than professionally, yet his promise that it wasn’t over sent a wave of heat washing over her.
